UNCF offers great scholarships in October—all treats, no tricks! Scholarships and internships are open for applications. Look at some of the opportunities UNCF offers high school and college students that can help them get to and through college. Visit UNCF.org/Scholarships any time to see what is open and complete the applications before the offers close.

You will not be considered for a scholarship, internship or program until you submit all the information and essays the application requires.
Malcolm X Scholarship for “Exceptional Courage”
The scholarship, created by Spike Lee to increase the awareness about the life and contributions of Malcolm X within society, is open to undergraduate students at one of the UNCF-member institutions. The program will provide scholarship support for students who have overcome difficult circumstances or challenges in pursuit of their college education. Closes 10/2.
Charleston Family Trust Scholarship
The scholarship is open to any African American undergraduate or high school senior. Four awards of up to $3,000, based upon a students unmet financial need, will be distributed. Closes 10/3.
BNSF Railway Foundation Scholarship (Tarrant County, TX)
The scholarship offers up to $2,250 to eligible Texas students. Closes 10/3.
UNCF HBCU Innovation Summit Application
Apply to become a 2019 UNCF HBCU ICE Silicon Valley Innovation Summit Fellow, held Nov. 6-9, in Silicon Valley, California. All travel expenses for the summit, including flight, lodging and food are paid. Students must be in a STEM program. Closes 10/4.
Dr. Joseph A. Towles African Study Abroad Scholarship
The scholarship provides up to $10,000 for students at UNCF-member institutions to learn at an established university in Africa. Eligible applicants must currently be enrolled in a study abroad institution during the Fall 2019 or Spring 2020 semesters. Closes 10/7.
UNCF/FedEx Scholarship Program
The FedEx/UNCF Scholarship Program provides scholarship opportunities to undergraduate HBCU students in Fall 2019. The scholarship program is funded by the FedEx Corporation and provides up to $4,000 per year to eligible applicants who meet the criteria. Closes 10/7.
Major League Baseball Diversity Fellowship Program
Fellows will have the opportunity to work in baseball operations and see the inner workings of a front office. Areas of baseball operations include player development, scouting, research and development, and beyond. Closes 10/15.
The Frederick Douglass Bicentennial Scholarship Program
The program awards one $10,000 scholarship to an exceptional HBCU senior each year who has demonstrated high academic achievement, strong leadership skills, commitment to community service and unmet financial need. Closes 10/18.
TF Cornerstone/UNCF Long Island City Scholarship (New York)
This scholarship opportunity will provide two 4-year scholarships of up to $4,400 to eligible college freshmen, depending on unmet financial need. Closes 10/21.
MUFG Union Bank Scholarship Program
Union Bank Foundation in partnership with the UNCF, is offering selected students a one-time $5,280 merit scholarship and potential internship. The program is available to juniors, seniors or graduate business, finance or IT students, who enroll full-time at a four-year accredited college or university in the fall of 2019. Closes 10/31.
Etta Gray Memorial Scholarship Program (South Carolina)
This scholarship assists students who have a permanent residence in Upstate, South Carolina, and who and are pursuing a technical certification (i.e. Computer Technology, PC Programming, and Networking) at specific technical colleges in the area. Closes 10/31.

HBCU Alliance Partners Scholarship Program
The HBCU Alliance Partners Scholarship Program is open to freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors, who attend an HBCU. Closes Nov. 4.
Renee Starks Steed Memorial Scholarship
The program is open to current sophomores, juniors, or seniors studying Design, Fashion Design, Retail or Retail Management, and who attend an HBCU. Closes Nov. 4.
BASF/Alfred Chisholm Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship is available to sophomore, junior and senior students enrolled at HBCUs. Relatives or sponsored students of BASF employees are strongly encouraged to apply. In addition, students at North Carolina A&T State University and Southern University and A&M College are also strongly encouraged to apply. Closes Nov. 8.
UNCF-Anthem Corporate Scholars Program
The scholarships, as well as internships, are open to juniors and seniors of color, who are studying business or health care fields. Closes Nov. 15.
