New year, new opportunities for great scholarships from UNCF! Check out these UNCF scholarships and internships currently open for applications, and complete your application before the deadlines. Walter and Shelia Umphrey Last Dollar Endowed Scholarship (Texas)
The scholarship benefits students from the Golden Triangle communities in Texas and should be used to help close the financial gap for college juniors and seniors attending: Huston-Tillotson University (Austin), Wiley College (Marshall), Texas College (Tyler), Jarvis Christian College (Hawkins), Baylor University (Waco) or Lamar University (Beaumont). Closes Jan. 13.
Walton-UNCF K-12 Education Fellowship
The program selects undergraduate juniors from historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) to participate in a 10-week summer experience that includes leadership development, a paid internship with an innovative K-12 educational enterprise or school, and participation in an education reform case competition.Closes Jan. 13.
PNC Foundation Scholarship (New Jersey)
Early Childhood Education or Education majors are eligible for a one-time, needs-based award of up to $2,500. Students must attend a UNCF-member institution or an accredited four-year institution in the state of New Jersey. Closes Jan. 21.
UNCF Ladders of Hope Scholarship (California)
This scholarship opportunity will provide a renewable award of up to $5,000 for four years for freshmen from the South Los Angeles and/or surrounding area, beginning during the 2019-2020 academic school year. Closes Jan. 22.
BNSF Railway Foundation Scholarship (Texas)
The scholarship is for students with a demonstrated unmet, financial need as verified by their college or university, who reside or are a permanent resident of Tarrant County, Texas. Closes Jan. 24.
Kia Motors America STEM/Sustainability Scholarship
$3,000 need-based scholarship opportunities is offered to STEM juniors or seniors attending a UNCF-member institution. Closes Jan. 27.
Nissan Scholars (Tennessee)
The scholarship offers a total of four scholarships for two students attending Fisk University and two attending Tennessee State University. The awardees will also be offered an internship during the summer of 2020 at Nissan. Closes Jan. 28.
SUEZ Corporate Scholars Program
This two-year internship and scholarship program that is seeking highly talented sophomores and juniors to work in the company’s operations throughout the country. Fields include engineering, quality control, compliance and water and wastewater treatment, among other more classic areas like finance and computer science. Closes Jan 31.

JUST ADDED: CodePath MAD Workshop Series
CodePath.org, a non-profit funded by Microsoft, Facebook and other supporters, is offering a free Mobile Application Design (MAD) course in February 2020. This free, hands-on workshop series will introduce you to iOS or Android app design and development and will be integrated with industry mentors from companies in Silicon Valley. Closes February 3, 2020.
The UNCF Career Pathways Initiative ®(CPI) Internships
The program is now accepting applications for a Data Analytics Intern and Program Management Intern for the 2020 summer. Interns must be current students at one of UNCF’s 37 member colleges or one of UNCF CPI’s 24 institutions. Closes February 14, 2020.
The program is for undergraduate and graduate students to apply for a paid internships starting in June 2020. The students’ resumes should include experience in web development, in Java and Java Script programming languages (for software engineering applicants), or provide information on related projects or internships. Closes March 2, 2020.
JUST ADDED: Boulé Foundation Scholarship
The program will provide annual $4,000 merit-based scholarships to new college freshmen of African American descent attending four-year, accredited, non-profit degree granting colleges and universities of their choice. Closes March 16, 2020.
