UNCF offers several national and regional scholarships that close in January. Apply today!

New year, new opportunities for great scholarships from UNCF! Check out these UNCF scholarships and internships currently open for applications, and complete your application before the deadlines. Look at some of the opportunities UNCF offers high school and college students that can help them get to and through college. Visit UNCF.org/Scholarships any time to see what is open.

You will not be considered for a scholarship, internship or program until you submit all the information and essays the application requires.

January

Urban Teachers Program
If you have ever thought about being a teacher in an urban area, Urban Teachers is a teacher residency and master’s program in partnership with Johns Hopkins University School of Education in DC, Baltimore and Dallas/Fort Worth that will give you the training and support you need to launch your career in education. Next application deadline January 28, 2019.

Ahmanson Foundation Scholarship (California)
The program is open to undergraduate or graduate students at UNCF-member schools who are from the greater Los Angeles area. Closes January 31, 2019.

UBS/PaineWebber Scholarship
The scholarship is directed to current sophomores or juniors, who demonstrated outstanding academic within the various business disciplines at UNCF institutions. Closes January 31, 2019.

Intel Scholarship
Selected Engineering students will receive up to $5,000 a one-time, need based scholarship in Spring 2019. In addition, subsequent to the award, the selected students will be contacted by UNCF for virtual coaching/interviewing session. The objective of the coaching/interviewing session is to prepare and train the students for a potential internship opportunity at Intel Corporation. Closes Feb. 1, 2019.

Parkview Health Corporate Scholars Program (Indiana)
UNCF and Parkview Health are offering an internship program for sophomore students who are residents of or attending a higher education institution in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Closes Feb. 1, 2019.

PNC Foundation Scholarship (New Jersey)
Early Childhood Education or Education majors are eligible for a one-time, needs-based award of up to $2,500. Students must attend a UNCF-member institution or an accredited four-year institution in the state of New Jersey. Closes February 1, 2019.

Kia Motors America STEM/Sustainability Scholarship
$3,000 need-based scholarship opportunities is offered to STEM majors attending a UNCF-member institution. Closes Feb. 1, 2019.

PayPal Internship
PayPal is seeking undergraduate and graduate students of color with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and above to apply for a paid internships starting in June of 2019.  web development, in Java and Java Script programming languages (for software engineering applicants) and/or provide information on your related projects or internships. Closes Feb. 28, 2019.

UNCF STEM Scholars Program
The program identifies and provides scholarship and academic support for a total of 500 talented African American high school students who aspire to earn STEM degrees and to pursue careers in STEM fields. Closes March 3, 2019.

Isabelle Gaines Scholarship Program (Virginia)
The program is open to college freshman, sophomore and juniors who are 2016, 2017 and 2018 graduates of Essex County High School in Tappahannock, VA. Students must be majoring in Art, Education, Business, History, STEM or related-major, and attending a UNCF-member institution or an HBCU. Closes March 8, 2019.

The Boulé Foundation Scholarship
These $4,000 merit-based scholarships will be awarded to entering college freshmen students (fall 2019) of African American descent attending four-year, accredited, non-profit degree granting colleges and universities of their choice. Open to citizens or permanent residents of selected areas of the United States, a resident of London, England, or a citizen of the Bahamas. Closes March 31, 2019.
