National Pre-Alumni Council Awards

These awards are presented during the annual National Alumni Council Leadership Conference and Alumni Summit.

William “Bill” McGill Male Scholarship Award
$2,000 is given to a male student attending a UNCF-member institution who meets these criteria:

  • An active member of the Pre-Alumni Council (PAC)
  • A 2.5 or higher grade point average
  • Provides letters of recommendations from sponsoring institution

Charles Stephens/Ernest Fair Scholarship Award
$2,000 is given to a female student attending a UNCF-member institution who meets these criteria:

  • An active member of the Pre-Alumni Council
  • A 2.5 or higher grade point average
  • Provides letters of recommendations from sponsoring institution

Samuel D. Leisdorf Award
Presented to the PAC of the UNCF institution with the highest pre-alumni funds raised on a per capita basis. The award may be retired if an institution wins it for three consecutive years.

Walter Washington Award
Presented to the PAC of the UNCF institution with the highest funds raised by pre-alumni regardless of per capita giving.

George L. Hightower Attendance Award
Presented to the PAC of the UNCF institution with the largest number of students registered at the annual conference. To be eligible for this award, the PAC institution must be located at least 50 miles from the site of the Conference.

Barbara Marshall Award
The “Pre-Alumni Council of the Year” award, selected by a vote of the NPAC board.

The Chase L. Gayden Exemplary Leadership Award
Presented to an NPAC member who consistently demonstrates the attributes of leadership.

NPAC awards also include the Most Improved PAC, Most Accomplished PAC and other NPAC Superlative Awards.
