Job Description:

The position is responsible for managing designated programs that provide mentoring, advising, and professional growth resources and services for scholars.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and implement strategies that enhance scholar involvement, academic, and professional success
  • Participate in the leadership development program design, strategic planning and implementation of new and on-going initiatives
  • Provide academic resources, advice, and counseling to scholars
  • Manage large volume of confidential records and data
  • Prepare reports
  • Assist with the management of program budgets
  • Assist scholars with meeting program goals and objectives
  • Develop both internal and external connections and relationships to build long-term support for leadership development and student retention initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university required
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in higher education (or K-12) and knowledge of student development theory, academic advising strategies, and leadership development theories required
  • Administration with emphasis on program management in student services, student development, and/or academic advisement desired
  • Proficiency with CRMs, Social Media and Office 365
  • Comfortable managing and performing webinars
  • Knowledge of budget/fiscal management and familiarity with relevant software
