UNCF Celebrates 75 Years of Impact at Inaugural Virginia Governor’s Luncheon

To help mark its 75 years of work, UNCF hosted the inaugural Virginia Governor’s Luncheon April 29. Nearly 200 faith and educations leaders came out to support UNCF, including the host, Gov. Ralph Northam; state Sen. Rosalyn Dance, Petersburg Mayor Samuel Parham and Richmond City Manager Aretha Benavides. City and government officials representing Chesterfield County, Henrico County and the cities of Hampton Roads, Charlottesville, Fredericksburg and Richmond were also in attendance. >> Read More

Hampton Roads: Elegance And Masks On Display At Area’s 2nd UNCF Mayors’ Masked Ball

UNCF hosted its 2nd Mayors’ Masked Ball in Hampton Roads on March 22 at The Main in downtown Norfolk. The star-studded black tie fundraiser made its first appearance in Virginia last year…. The annual “Who’s Who of Hampton Roads” gala is hosted by the area’s mayors of Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Hampton, and Newport News who have signed on to support the event.
