2019 State of the HBCU Address - Washington, DC | UNCF

2019 State of the HBCU Address – Washington, DC

UNCF covered great ground in the 115th Congress and continues to work with policymakers in the Trump administration and Congress to accomplish our education public policy goals. The inaugural State of the HBCU Address, hosted by Bakari Sellers, will set our agenda for federal lawmakers in the 116th Congress and highlight the progress and accomplishments of HBCUs over the past year. We will also release our first HBCU Congressional Scorecard. This scorecard will grade all 535 members of Congress based on their support of legislation impacting HBCUs and their students. The scorecard will also include an “Honor Roll” list highlighting members that have gone above and beyond in their efforts. The scorecard and methodology will be available online after the event.

Please join us for this special event as we continue our 75-year legacy of advocacy on behalf of HBCUs, low-income students and students of color. Presented by UNCF Public Policy and Government Affairs.

The address will be streamed live on Facebook on the day of the event.
