2019 Annual MLK Breakfast – Minneapolis
Celebrate Dr. King's legacy with area leaders, students and neighbors.
Doing for Others:
A Call for Social Action
“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is ‘What are you doing for others?’”
Those were the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who believed that everybody can achieve greatness through service. Even at our most divided, helping others can heal. This breakfast is an opportunity to celebrate Dr. King by ‘doing for others’, together. Proceeds will benefit the UNCF Minneapolis Area office in providing four-year college scholarships to deserving low-income students.
This year’s keynote speaker is Don Lemon, an Emmy Award-winning news anchor and journalist, who currently hosts “CNN Tonight.”
The General Mills Foundation and UNCF are pleased to present the 29th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Breakfast, an opportunity to celebrate Dr. King’s legacy of service and be inspired to live out his dream today in our homes, the community and throughout the world.
Individual tickets are $25 for general admission; $50 for individual ticket at table level. The proceeds of the breakfast will benefit the UNCF MLK Legacy Scholarship.
