I strongly believe that supporting the next generation of young people to reach their potential and contribute to our communities and nation is one of the most crucial investments we can make. I also value the importance of education that provides our young people with the opportunity to change the trajectory of their lives, the lives of their families and their communities.
Great education allows overlooked segments of our population to realize their potential and address income inequality from the bottom up. This is why I am honored to serve on the UNCF Leadership Council, and as Chair, of the UNCF NJ Masked Ball.
This year’s event is especially meaningful, as UNCF, the nation’s largest and most effective minority education organization celebrates its 75-year legacy and having raised nearly $5 billion dollars and having helped to graduate more than 470,000 students.
I invite you, our many friends and supporters in New Jersey and the tri-state area, to join us on June 7th, for a wonderful evening of celebration, fundraising and bringing exceptional strength and momentum to this year’s Masked Ball. A mind is still a terrible thing to waste.
Lissa Jean Ferrell, Esq.
