UNCF President and CEO, Dr. Michael L. Lomax, will deliver a thought-provoking message, "The Fight for Better Futures and the Important Role of Historically Black Colleges and Universities," across the country through keynote addresses at the University of Michigan, Paine College and the Metropolitan Atlanta Alumni Association of Phi Beta Kappa and Civil Center for Human Rights lecture series.

Now more than ever, historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) are vitally important to the sustainability of the community. UNCF President and CEO, Dr. Michael L. “The good news is…with Beyoncé’s HBCU-themed performance at Coachella, Stan Nelson’s produced documentary “Tell Them We Are Rising” and hit shows like “Blackish” tackling the common denominator in many minority households, HBCUs versus predominantly white institutions, HBCUs have been brought to the forefront of the discussion,” said Lomax. “However, the conversation must dive deeper—examining the integral role of HBCUs in today’s economy and the fight that continues to educate the next generation of trailblazers and ultimately securing better futures for us all.” >> Read details on events here
