UNCF Hosting Education Summit on African American Youth’s Perceptions of K-12 Education
UNCF also will release its latest report, A Seat at the Table: African American Youth's Perceptions of K-12 Education.
The upcoming release of UNCF's perceptions research report, A Seat at the Table: African American Youth's Perceptions of K-12 Education, is the latest step of UNCF's efforts to amplify voices that are often overlooked in education discussion. The UNCF Education Summit will serve as a discussion point for the student perspective on education, a call to action on P-16 issues, and a platform for engagement and exploration of the role of African American voices—specifically HBCUs—in education reform efforts. The report, produced by UNCF’s Frederick D. Patterson Research Institute (FDPRI), is scheduled to be released on April 26.
The education summit will be held April 26, 2018 at UNCF’s headquarters in Washington, DC.
