Fellowship of the Month: UNCF Bristol-Myers Squibb E.E. Just Postgraduate Fellowship
The fellowship is open to post-graduate scientists in the biomedical field.
The BMS-UNCF E. E. Just Postgraduate Fellowship in the Life Sciences is a three-year career development program that supports African American post-graduate scientists who are committed to pursuing a career in biomedical research.
Named in honor of Dr. Ernest Everett Just—one of the most prominent African American scientists of the 20th century—the postgraduate fellowship program will offer networking, financial support, mentorship and career coaching as well as unique career development opportunities.
Sponsored by Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS), selected fellows will receive financial awards that include stipends, a research budget and travel to research conferences. In addition, fellows will be supported by scientific and career mentors from both academia and industry.
To apply, an applicant must be:
- African American/Black
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. national or permanent resident
- Doctoral/Professional Student, Postdoctoral
