Benedict College, Claflin University and Voorhees College to Hold Joint Press Conference on CPI
The schools will discuss the $6 Million UNCF grant created to improve job outcomes of graduates

Why: At the conclusion of last year, UNCF-member institutions Benedict College, Claflin University, and Voorhees College (known as the Carolina Cluster Career Pathways Program) received a $6 million grant under the UNCF® Career Pathways Initiative (CPI), funded by Lilly Endowment Inc. We invite media and press to the Kick-Off Reception/Press Conference for the Carolina Cluster Career Pathways Program to hear more about how South Carolina businesses and corporations will benefit from this innovative program. The Carolina Cluster Pathways Program is a collaborative response to America’s need for talent and our graduates’ desire to be competitive in obtaining high-paying 21st Century jobs. Through the work of the program, we will leverage the capacity of our partner institutions and implement innovative strategies designed to nurture the talent of the students on our campuses as well as recent graduates and help make the story of the workforce of the 21st Century one of increased diversity and inclusion.
