Disney Scholars: Amijah Townsend-Holmes

Amijah Townsend-Holmes is in her first year of study at Spelman College (UNCF-member institution) and is exploring a major in international studies with a minor in communications or business management. Over the past two summers, Amijah interned at Steve Harvey’s Ford Neighborhood Awards, working in the communications department with the award show’s nominees.

The previous summer, she performed a month of service work in Panama while an exchange student, gaining valuable experience and insights into international studies, language, culture, communications and business.

Amijah is bringing her love of service-oriented work to her campus community, looking for ways to be active on campus by applying to be a residence assistant and joining organizations that plan college-wide events. Amijah cherishes spending time with friends and family, and watching basketball and football.
