UNCF Empower Me Tour is Coming—and Bringing Scholarships!
The UNCF Empower Me Tour (EMT), a free, traveling college-and-career-readiness roadshow presented by Target, is coming to Charlotte. College students attending the event will receive expert tips on resume writing and job interviews, in addition to financial and personal branding advice. They will also have the opportunity to interview on-site with select companies for internships or first-year job placements.  

SCHOLARSHIP GIVEAWAY: UNCF will award a $1,000 scholarship on-site to one male and one female EMT attendee at 3:00 p.m. View eligibility details here

2016 UNCF Maya Angelou Women Who Lead Luncheon
Each year, this highly anticipated fundraising event, named in honor of a beloved friend and volunteer, Dr. Maya Angelou, brought out some of the most dynamic and prominent women from in and around Charlotte. Proceeds from the event, held September 10, provided necessary resources to North Carolina students and UNCF-member institutions in North Carolina: Bennett College, Johnson C. Smith University, Livingstone College, St. Augustine's University and Shaw University.
