Description: The Events Manager is responsible for all logistical aspects of planning annual conferences, meetings and special events for SPIF and the Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS) Program; including identification of appropriate venues and vendors, all amenities and accommodations at the events as well as any associated contract negotiations. The Events Manager will collaborate with vendors on all aspects of executing conferences, meetings and special events: catering, decorations, lighting, security, special equipment rentals, entertainment, and staging. The incumbent will ensure the organization’s goals and metrics are considered when planning events. The Events Manager will engage in SPIF/GMS programmatic activities as directed.
