Dr. Kafui Dzirasa, G’06 was selected as one of Ebony’s 2008 Young Leaders of the Future.  A synopsis of Dr. Dzirasa’s achievements can be found in this month’s Ebony Magazine’s “30 on the Rise”.  Among the accomplishments mentioned in the article were Dr. Dzirasa’s UNCF-Merck Graduate Science Research Dissertation Fellowship, Ruth K. Broad Biomedical Fellowship, and Somjen Award for Outstanding Dissertation Thesis.  The article also highlights his involvement in the Student National Medical Association where he has served as a board member, chapter president, and National Internal Affairs Committee chairman.

            Dr. Kafui Dzirasa is a 2006 UNCF-Merck Graduate Fellow and holds a PhD in Neurobiology (Duke University).  He is currently working as a postdoctoral research associate as he finishes his fourth year of medical school (Duke University).
