Scholarship Detail: |
The Wells Fargo/UNCF Scholarship Fund was established in April 2007 by Wells Fargo Bank in partnership with UNCF - United Negro College Fund to provide students attending historically black colleges and universities with financial assistance, internship and recruitment opportunities and specialized financial literacy programs designed to educate young adults on the benefits and pitfalls of debt management. The scholarship is available to African American or African American heritage undergraduate sophomores, juniors and first year MBA students attending a four-year HBCU during the 2009-10 academic year. Candidates must apply for Federal Financial Aid and be Pell Grant eligible. Furthermore, for award consideration, candidates must submit :
1. Recent official transcript.
2. At least two letters of recommendation from faculty members familiar with the applicant's academic abilities.
3. Essay - must be uploded to the online application before the program deadline (please go to essay section for details) and
4. Current resume. Selected students will receive $2000 one time grant to assist in furthering their college education for the 2009-10 Academic Year. *Renewals will not be automatic. All recipients must re-apply for the renewals of their scholarships. **College senior applicants are eligible to apply only if they received grants in the prior academic years. |
