Scholarship Detail:
The candidates for the American Dream Scholarship have been selected and they have been notified by mail. This scholarship is not accepting any more candiates. Please apply for other UNCF scholarships in August. The Sallie Mae Fund is partnering with the United Negro College Fund to offer scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000 to African American citizens, legal permanent residents or nationals of the United States who are enrolling full-time at an approved institution as defined as Title IV eligible, accredited, post-secondary two- or four-year college or university, vocational, or technical school in the United States or Puerto Rico for the 2009-2010 academic year. If you are a graduating high school senior/entering freshman, make sure your classification indicates you are a high school senior. The school you choose will be the school you plan to attend. All other college students, make sure your classification and attending school reflect your current information. If selected for an award, your information will be reviewed and validated over the summer. Applicants must meet the Federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria and have a financial need as verified by the attending college or university financial aid office. Application needs to be completed and submitted with an essay uploaded into the application. Applicants not following this format will not be considered.
