NAACP membership and participation is highly desirable.

Required Materials:

1. Recent official high school transcript and copy of application for admission or letter of acceptance from college or university - Must be mailed to UNCF by the program deadline.

2. Copy of NAACP membership card or receipt of membership - Must be mailed to UNCF by the program deadline.

3. Two letters of recommendation (other than relatives): One personal reference, one academic reference. The letters must be uploaded to the online application by the recommenders.

4. Essay - Must be directly uploaded to the online application.

5. For Financial Verification, one of the following materials/documents must be mailed to UNCF by the program deadline:

a). Student Aid Report (SAR) or

b). Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or

c). Complete copy of parents' most recent Income Tax Form

Members of the National NAACP Board of Directors, SCF Trustees, National Youth Work Committee, the NAACP Scholarship Selection Committee, employees and their spouses or families to the first degree of consanguinity are not eligible to apply for or receive this scholarship.
