Get ready for UNCF An Evening of Stars^® Tribute to Chaka Khan! That's when UNCF takes on Hollywood, bringing hip-hop, soul and pop artists together with actor-activists and UNCF students in an all-star musical tribute to Chaka Khan.

The star-studded live taping takes place at 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 25 at the historic Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, CA, leading up to an evening that brings excellence in entertainment and education together. Hollywood press and devoted fans will get a glimpse of top artists and Chaka Khan as they stroll the red carpet.

This two-hour award-winning show will shine the spotlight on Chaka's career, charitable work and her amazing repertoire of hit music. Songs such as "Tell Me Something Good" written by Stevie Wonder defined the '70s. But it was Chaka's all-powerful voice that made the next two decades a more funky-fun place to live. Mega hits that made her a household name include "I'm Every Woman" written by Ashford and Simpson and "I Feel For You" written by Prince. Her latest album, "Funk This," won a Grammy^® for "Best R&B Album."

Chaka, a 10-time Grammy^® Award-winner, continues to influence and inspire. In appreciation, artists near and dear to Chaka will sing her soulful songs in tribute to what she has accomplished in musical history. UNCF will also present Chaka with its prestigious "Award of Excellence," for her career achievements and long-standing support of the UNCF mission and young people.

Not only a music legend, Chaka Khan also devotes time to her foundation working with deserving children. The Chaka Khan Foundation mentors middle school kids who are college-bound. Chaka's love for children has also led her to perform many times over the years on UNCF An Evening of Stars^®.
