UNCF North Texas Scholarship Luncheon - Keynote speaker: U.S. Trade Rep. Ambassador Ronald Kirk

UNCF - the United Negro College Fund is pleased to announce that this years luncheon keynote address will be given by U.S. Trade Representative, Ambassador Ronald Kirk! The luncheon will include a VIP Reception, greetings and remarks by local dignitaries and UNCF college presidents, a musical performance by a UNCF college choir and a keynote address by U.S. Trade Representative, Ambassador Ronald Kirk. UNCF invites you to join Ambassador Kirk in support of UNCFs higher education mission by being a sponsor or table host. Net proceeds from this important fundraising event will directly benefit students and the five UNCF member institutions located in Texas. This is the third annual North Texas Luncheon benefiting the United Negro College Fund. The past two events featured Governor Rick Perry as the keynote speaker and raised nearly $350,000 towards UNCFs higher education mission and its Texas institutions. Today - a college degree is the minimum entry-level requirement for almost every well-paying career. UNCF plays a critical role in enabling students to attend college. Supporting this event will complement your commitment to increasing educational opportunities and the overall well being of Texas residents & communities. Because college graduates earn higher incomes than non-graduates, your sponsorship will be an investment in the many future teachers, business leaders, engineers, physicians and other professionals who will graduate from UNCF member colleges to become productive participants in their communities and in the national economy. We anticipate more than 500 business & educational professionals, community leaders and students will be in attendance.

UNCF's An Evening of Stars 2010 -Tribute to Lionel Ritchie

Location: TV BROADCAST: DFW'S TXA Channel 21 @ 9:00 pm & Northeast Texas' KLTV (ABC Channel 7) 10:30 pm

Description:
Now is the time to pledge your sponsorship support for the local broadcast of UNCFs popular nationally televised fundraiser. AN EVENING OF STARS is a concert with a cause! International superstar Lionel Richie, the winner of five Grammy awards and numerous other awards, will be honored by UNCF at its 31st annual AN EVENING OF STARS. A graduate of Tuskegee University, a UNCF member university, Richie will receive UNCFs coveted Award of Excellence for his long and distinguished career as a singer, songwriter and record producer and his history of support for minority education. The two-hour musical tribute will feature an array of other artists performing the songs Richie has made famous. In addition to celebrating Lionel Ritchie, the show will raise awareness and funds for minority higher education so that the next generation of leaders can step up and achieve greatness in the 21st Century. The DFW broadcast is Saturday, January 23rd 2010. The show runs two-hours and includes four :30 second local breaks. Sponsorship benefits including airing a corporate message during these local segments that will communicate to DFW area residents how you support the community, UNCF and minority education. Net proceeds from this important fundraiser will support UNCFs higher education mission and help break the financial barriers that prevent so many from earning a college degree.
